Tombstone Fireplace

The Tombstone

This fireplace, open on four sides, offers great functionality being that the fire is seen and enjoyed from all angles. This fireplace measures 64 inches wide, 64 inches deep, and 64 inches tall. Each firebox opening measures 32 inches wide and 28 inches high. Basically, this fireplace is a glorified firepit. Pull your chairs up all the way around this fireplace and enjoy the warmth. This fireplace will be a great centerpiece to any outdoor space and will give you years of outdoor enjoyment. This is a "no cut design" in that no blocks need to be cut to construct this fireplace.

NOTE: THIS FIREPLACE DESIGN WILL NOT VENT AS WELL AS AN ENCLOSED STRUCTURE DUE TO THE EXPOSURE TO MORE WIND INTO THE FIRE AREA.

The Tombstone fireplace plan has a total of 23 pages.

I had seen outdoor kitchens and fireplaces in magazines and on TV and thought I would inquire with a contractor about having them built. I provided the contractors with example pictures of barbeques and fireplaces I liked and received quotes as high as $7,800 to build just the fireplace. more...
