Santa Cruz Fireplace Santa Cruz Fireplace

The Santa Cruz

This very large, sophisticated fireplace is a massive structure sure to draw you in. It's wide stance and broad face demands attention. This design offers an arched firebox and two firewood storage areas on the front face of the fireplace. These firewood storage areas will bring out the rustic look when the firewood is stacked inside. The lower shelves at almost 7 feet tall will look elegant with adornment such as wrought iron art or candles. This design offers an oval seating area approximately 24 inches deep at the center. The overall dimensions of this fireplace are 112 inches wide (left to right), 56 inches deep (front to back), and just over 16 feet high (bottom to top). This fireplace does not need to be built to its full design height. Any level of chimney height would maintain it’s functionality. The firebox opening measures 32 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 34 inches high at the top of the arch. The flat front face of this beautiful fireplace can be decorated with an elegant timepiece or art to bring out its bold design. If you choose to not build this fireplace to its designed height, it will be as easy as re-calculating the 8x8x16 block count for your desired height. This fireplace requires block cutting.

The Santa Cruz fireplace plan has a total of 49 pages due to its height.

About Us

Years ago I looked at my bare backyard and thought I should add something. I had a lot of unused space but felt trees and plants weren't what the space needed. I had seen outdoor kitchens and fireplaces in magazines and on TV and thought I would inquire with a contractor about having them built. I provided the contractors with example pictures of barbeques and fireplaces I liked and received quotes as high as $7,800 to build just the fireplace. more...
