Catalina Fireplace

The Catalina

An outdoor fireplace open on three sides? Absolutely. This fireplace definitely sets itself apart from all of the other traditional designs. This design makes it feel as if you are sitting around a fire pit. The design has a one-stage mantel that extends around three sides of the fireplace. The top of the unit is finished with a 360-degree flare giving this fireplace a very sophisticated look and feel. On the two sides are 16 inch square shelves you can adorn with candles or other decoration. The overall measurements at the base are 80 inches wide, 80 inches deep, and 78 inches tall. Block cutting is necessary to build this fireplace.

The Catalina plan has a total of 25 pages.

About Us

Years ago I looked at my bare backyard and thought I should add something. I had a lot of unused space but felt trees and plants weren't what the space needed. I had seen outdoor kitchens and fireplaces in magazines and on TV and thought I would inquire with a contractor about having them built. I provided the contractors with example pictures of barbeques and fireplaces I liked and received quotes as high as $7,800 to build just the fireplace. more...
